In the melting plant, the relevant components are melted along with the respective alloying elements while observing their metallurgic relationships. Thermal and spectrometer analyses are carried out throughout the entire production phase.
 
The following equipment is available in the melting plant:

Two cold blast cupolas, volume approx. 30 tonnes per day

One medium frequency induction furnace with a 1 tonne capacity

Grey cast iron:

• EN GJL 150 - EN GJL 250
  Unit weights 1 kg to 1 to
  (depending on the geometry of the part)

Spheroidal graphite cast iron:

• EN GJS 400 - EN GJS 800
  Unit weights 1 kg to 1 to
  (depending on the geometry of the part)
